I recently passed my mcp (xp) so I assume I can either go with 2000 or 2003 track any thoughts? If I go with 2003 my time and effort will recieve the most up to date credential however maybe HR departments want to see 2000 on resume not understanding 2003 is basically 2000 second edition (very few differences) or is it worth going with 2000 and having to take the extra upgrade exams to upgrade 2000 to 2003 so you cant put both down.what would you do and why?

Go for 2000 track! The 2000 user base is still very big and, after all, it's only two exams to upgrade 2000 to 2003, so you'll have 2000 and 2003 on your resume. HR ppl employ simple logics: two certs twice as good as one smile
