oh well an examination is all about your expertise in the field... and
testking sort of does away without. Its like giving you the Questions and
Answers. One can pass with that... but the certification is meaningless
cause that person knows nothing. Hence the term "renders microsoft
certification obsolete".
and just fyi... they almost are %>)

Your too late!
Microsoft certification became obsolete several years ago.
Anyway, no employers take any notice of 'em nowadays
because anyone can pass, or rather cheat, the exams.

nothing is too late, every thing can be changed.
some one has to make a move i think.
as if we kept saying it is late, the matters will get worse.
i knew that microsoft sued an exam dump before and won the case ,but i don't
know why microsoft is leaving testking A LIVE.
i think the technology that microsoft provide, worths some defence.
and microsoft cert does mean a lot of things as how it could it take you
over a year to finish MCSD, and note that microsoft technology is a standard
material in all master and phd degrees.

well the technology is worth something but certification... are you
joking...

you joking aren't you... i thought uni's only taught *nix... look its |
just a certification.. a piece of paper. If you knew some printers you might
just get away with it...
The real point is knowing the thing. And trust me i wouldnt even think about
ever employing half the people with certs...

In microsoft.public.cert.exam.mcsd, Hermit Dave climbed on a soapbox &
opined:

Don't be so stupid, neither Harvard nor any other top
flight university offer MSc, PhD or even Bsc which are
based around Microsoft or any other Corporation. You may
(or may not) use Microsoft tools during your degree, and no
doubt make reference to Microsoft's products as well as the
corporation itself during your research, but that's as far
as it goes. You've been reading too many spam emails
offering U.N.I.V.E.R.S.I.T.Y degrees for $10.

Well I don't know about "Harvard", but I completed my
masters last year at Durham Uni in the UK, and I certainly
never had any courses or even lectures on Microsoft
products. I know people who went to other uni's in the UK
and the same applies to them. The courses/lectures were
completely unbiased towards any software
supplier/manufacturer. Oh tell a lie, I did use MS Word &
Visio to help write my dissertation!

err... a couple of elective courses can hardly be classed
as "standard material in all master and PhD degrees", as
you put it. You won't even get your MSc (let alone PhD)
proposal accepted if it just waffles on about Microsoft and
how cool .net is!
The day any Microsoft specific courses do indeed become
"standard material in all master and PhD degrees", will be
the end of the world for IT!
