|
|
Hello,
I Would appreciate if someone can answer the following two
questions:
1. What is the scoring system here? How much
percentile/marks do one need to get the MCSD certification?
2. After taking one or two exam, if any one or both of
these exams gets discontinued, does one has to start all
over again?
Thanks,
Kal |

Kal,
There are five required exams for the MCSD certification. Each exam has it's
own passing score, although all passing scores are now scaled to 700. The
passing score depends on the difficulty of the exam.
I'm not sure I understand question 2. Once you pass an exam, you have earned
the credential that exam offers and it does not expire. All current exams
confer the MCP designation. If you start on a certification track, MCSD for
Microsoft .NET for example, and some of the exams retire before you have
completed the entire credential, then you will not be able to complete it.
The exams you passed, however, will remain on your transcript.
I hope this helps.
