Hi

I am currently MCSD (VB6) and I am due to sit the 70-315 exam next week. I
am aiming to become MCSD (C#/.NET), but does passing the 70-315 make me MCP
(C#)? As passing one of the exams for the MCSD (VB6) made me MCP.

Thanks

Seb

As I understood, and please some one correct me if I am wrong, once you
pass one of MS' certification exams, you are MCP for life. You can
"upgrade"
your MCSD certification from VB6 to .NET, but, as I said, as far as I
understand,
you are at this time an MCP. Good luck!

Thanks for the answers guys, much appreciated. The reason for the question
is, I am applying for a job that requires 2 years C# knowledge, which I have
commerical, but would like to the person scanning my CV to immediately my
status, should I pass the exam. So putting MCSD (VB6), MCP (C#) should be
correct?

Thanks

Seb

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcp/requirements.asp This shows you
where passing the C# test will make you a MCP in C#. Yes, for your second
question, I would list them on separate lines. But, I would put it like you
asked. MCSD in Visual Basic 6.0
MCP in C#.NET

And, if you're planning on continuing towards your MCSD in C#, I would
include that in parenthesis.

Hope this helps you.
Patrick.
