I am trying to connect my cisco 2501 to my network. The problem I am having is that I need two ethernet ports but it only has one. Is there a way or a device that will go from a serial port to an ethernet interface? I thank you all for any information you can give!
Thank you

i dont think you can have a tranciver for a serial interface on a router, i think you can only put one on a AUI port, not 100% sure only been studdying ccna for 6 weeks. thanks

I have a 2501, and working on getting a 2514 and 1605. The 2501 you will need to get a transceiver to plug into your AUI port and then plug a cat 5 cable into it. Then you can connect the to your network. I plan on getting a 2514 and a serial cable, DTE to DCE and hook one serial port up the the other router and then hang two network off that one. Try these guys for the AUI adapter.
