Whatever happened to the Microsoft Developer exams prior to the .Net era?
Are they all expired? I have an MSCD priror to .Net. Is that one also expired?

Hi Arne,

They still do. Please see
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcpexams/status/examsretired.asp. If there
are "no candidate
requirements to retain certification" for each exam that makes up your MCSD
then you retain your MCSD certification (for VS6).

Cindy.
Thanks for the link. It looks like all the exams in my MSCD expired in June
30 2004.

Hi Arne,

Please understand that even though the exams expired, you are still an MCSD
for VS6.

The only exam left that you can still take is the 70-229 (SQL2000) which is
also included in the MCAD/MCSD.NET exams. All the others have expired,
however, they are still valid as aquired certifications. Your old MCP or MCSD
that you have aquired is still usuful to say, put on your resume.
Hope that helps
