how do i erase a bootflash file from rommon ?
its a 7400 router .

It not so clear for me your concern, but i'll try to answer the two
possibilities of your question I understood:
1/Erasing a the subset IOS file from the ROM is not possible, you should
replace the ships. In fact ROMs are not erasable. They can only be upgraded
by replacing the ROM chips in the sockets.
2/From the rommon mode, you'd like to erase the IOS file in flash memory.
This is not directly possible but you could be done by replacing the
existing IOS image in the flash (if it is corrupted ) by another one.

Please be precise in detailing your concern, I give you a detailed solution
..... I hope!
