Received a router from a friend - brand new!!!

I really want to get on this think and start tinkering.

The router is connected via serial to my win 2k system.

I boot the router and it asks several questions. I answer the questions the
best I can - just to get to the screen to enter commands.

I think that was a big mistake.

To make a long story short - I made some initial configuration errors and
now I can't reset them.

I want to configure the router with an ethernet interface and do some
messing around with the commands.

Anyone know of any starter sites or walk throughs that can help me out?

I really want to get on this box and start learning.

Thanks in advance.

Easy Enough... Play away. You can't break it. To reset the configuration,
do a 'write erase' in enable mode (the '#' sign). Then reload the router.
(answer 'no' when it asks you if you want to save the config. Next time it
tries to take you through the auto-conf y/n menus, break out with
<control-C>. Go to Cisco's IOS documentation page at
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/index.htm for fun
stuff to try.
