I have two 2620 routers, router A has IOS version "Version 12.2(13)T,
RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)", and router B has IOS version "Version 12.2(8)T5,
RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)".

On both I have set the logging buffered command, but the output syntax is
different:

Router A -

*Apr 7 14:47:53.216: %CLEAR-5-COUNTERS: Clear counter on all interfaces by
vty0

(10.0.48.254)

Router B -

4w5d: %CLEAR-5-COUNTERS: Clear counter on all interfaces by vty0
(10.255.255.130)

My question is, how do I get router B to give me a date / time stamp like
router A? [ I want the "Apr 7 14:47:53.216" not the "4w5d"] Is it an IOS
version issue? I can't find anything on the Web that talks about this format
issue.

Thank you.

It is something like service timestamps log datetime - can not remember
exact syntax but do service ? and so on and that should get you to the right
point.

Cheers,

Darren.
