|
|
Hi all,
Due to private Reasons, I will now resume learning towards CCNP
with a valid CCNA on hand, expiring in 2005.
Now that CCNP cert process has undergone some major renewal
and isn't available anymore in the known way as of Sep 7th, my
Certification Library should be outdated right now.
Any suggested reading for the composite exam 642-891 ?

The 642-891 exam is for recertification of the CCNP/CCDP for people who
already have them. You can't do this from CCNA and get a CCNP.
For your CCNP you will still have to do four exams ..

Hi Chris,
Oops...no ? Isn't this a "composite" one ? They say it is for
those who are currently and for those willing to CCNP - certify; I may have
interpreted that falsely of course....
Isn't there any foundation exam available anymore ? All broken down
into multiple ones ?

Chris.
Actually it can be taken for ccnp. Read the line from here |
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/10/wwtraining/certprog/testing/current_exams/642-891.html
Composite may be taken to recertify CCNP and CCDP certifications; it may
also be taken in place of the BSCI and BCMSN exams required for CCNP and
CCDP certifications

Okay ...
<snip>it may also be taken in place of the BSCI and BCMSN exams required for
CCNP and CCDP certifications.</snip>
So you could take this exam but you would also have to do Remote Access and
Support as well. Three exams instead of four.
