Well, I just took, and passed, the CID 640-025 exam which makes me a CCDP.
I now hold CCNP and CCDP. My ultimate personal goal is to obtain the CCIE
R&S. So, should I pursue any other Cisco certs while studying for CCIE?
Are there any other exams that closely relate to the material I will have to
be studying for R&S?

You could always do a specialization like ip telephony or security.
Something to keep you busy while awaiting the CCIE.
