|
|
Mike,
On the back of your 4th edition A+ Cert book it reads, "Fully revised and
updated - and reviewed and approved by CompTIA." On the
copyright/disclaimer page it reads "CompTIA has NOT reviewed or approved the
accuracy of the contents of this training material ..."
Which is it?

Hello Clint,
While you're correct that the wording from the back of the book seems
to contradict that of the copyright page disclaimer, the bottom line
is this: The A+ All-In-One Fourth Edition book is approved by the
CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum program. See our entry in the
CAQC here:
http://www.comptia.org/certification/training_providers/get_caqc.asp?id=42
The CAQC is the official green-light from CompTIA saying that a book
or other resource covers the relevant topics for A+, and that CompTIA
has confidence in the overall accuracy of that resource.
The disclaimer on our copyright page is routine fine print that
protects CompTIA. It states that they haven't gone over the entire
book with a fine tooth comb, aren't part of our techincal review team,
and won't be responsible for the nitty-gritty details.
The details--in this case, errata and continuous improvements--are our
responsibility, and we do our level best (and beyond) to take care of
them.
I hope that clears up any confusion about our book's status relative
to CompTIA's standards.
Cheers,
Cindy Clayton
