Hello,

I just took the tests after listening to Mike's dulcet tones and staring at
his white hat on the wall for several months. As in the 8th tape he
encouraged me to get off my buns and go for it, I did so but found out
something in the process that I'd like to share:

1. Vouchers are available with review CD's from several companies (Mike's
outfit was the one I chose) and I was able to plow through 20 core hardware
tests and 20 operating system tests for review, plus save a boatload on the
test through Prometric. If you shop around online, you too can easily find
vouchers and review materials in the same manner.

2. In the pass materials I got at the test center, they make you aware that
if you failed the test, you would not be allowed to retake the test for 12
months, unless there was a substantial change in the test content which
would be the exception to the rule. Therefore, if I read it correctly, if
you opt to take the test NOW, you may have the fail-safe of being able to
retake the test when the XP material is added.

Good luck,

Rod

Not quite correct - If you fail the test you can resit it immediately if you
wish.

Where I was studying one guy failed on core - booked it for a resit an hour
later and passed with a very high score.
