Yes, there are definitely some benefits taking and studying this test. This basically nails the foundation on network which is an essential part in technical support. No matter which OS you will be working with, they will always refer to the essentials you learned while studying for this exam.
Most of the things in are useful like TCP/IP, network troubleshooting, but there are some old technology that are useless to learn now, but at least you can know how these technologies come about and knowing why they were outdated. Very few Apple networking is covered which is something I didn't find useful, but you never know in the future you might work somewhere they need to touch on this a little bit...
If you are starting out in this field, another useful one to get is A+. With those two down they also count as an elective for the MCSA program, which is something you can work later on.
Hope this helps |

Best way to study this is to get at least one good book, and getting some exam study guide and practice the questions.
I also find it easy to write out a 'cheat sheet' of all the relevant info like port numbers and what they are, the IEEE numbers and what technology they are and such.
Also, practice the things on your PC, or even better if you are already working in the field. As long as you know what you are doing and approach the experiments carefully it will all definitely help.
Good luck! |

For preparing Network+ certification, you must consider following topics.
1. networking media and connectors.
2. networking components.
3. Create a network of two computers.
4. Know various ports.
5. TCP/IP protocol suite and their installation.
6. TCP/IP utilities for troubleshooting the network.
7. Create a dial-up connection for connecting to the Internet.
8. network client protocols such as NetBEUI and IPX/SPX, How to Install and configure them.
All the best |

I've written a free Net+ practice exam you can use at my site www.freeexamproject.net
It's not a braindump, but written by myself. To use it, you need to download my Free Exam program. You can use the program to add to or make your own practice exams.
Hope it helps. |

Today I passed Network+ exam. The passing score of this exam is 646 and total questions asked are 72. It is not very tough to pass this 90 minutes exam. Only thing you have to do is to do lots of practice. I purchased a practice test from uCertify for practice because I feel it is the best but you can take anyone you lick. And one more thing not forget to prepare the topics which I posted earlier.
Best of luck |

Was the N10-003 prepkit similiar to the test.?
The Ucertify 70-210 package was about a close mid-point to the actual Microsoft exam. |
