Which is faster EPP or ECP? I have seen conflicting statements on
this. Transcender says ECP is, also Mike Meyer's books says it is as
well. Exam Essentials and a few websites I have went to however,
claims EPP is the faster. I have done some research and it appears
that ECP is able to get more data through because of compression,
however if compression is set aside, EPP looks faster.
What I'm asking is, as far as comptia and the a+ is concerned, which
is faster ECP or EPP?
Thanks,

I'd guess ECP since it uses DMA so it can peform xfers w/o utilizing CPU
cycles. It might all come down to device drivers as well. In any case, I'd want
more proof than someone's opinion (even Mike Meyers).
