It finally got resolved via the assistance of a tech from Norton when I did
an integrity check.

This is why I don't think that you have a valid Ghost image, that is the
essence of your problem.
This issue has already been discussed, it is not recommended to burn a CD
with the Norton Ghost utility, the way to go is to create the Ghost image
file on a partition or HDD and then burn it to CDs using Easy CD or other
burning program that will split your file onto several CDs.

I agree though you wouldn't know that since the backup was indicated as
being successful. But even an uninstallation and reinstallation of the
System Works 2003 didn't change a thing. Looks like I gotta call 'em.
