| Does anyone have a technique for questions regarding VSLM? When you are given an ip address and the questions wants you to pick which subnet it is part of? |

Subnets are created using block sizes, to find the subnet to which the ip address belongs just use your block size. Say your block is 16 and the ip address you have been given is 192.168.1.33 then if u keep adding your 16 from 0+16=16, 16+16=32 32+16=48 u see the sunetwork is 192.168.1.32 and your address of 33 belongs there because the net subnetwork is 48 and 33 cannot belong in a group that begins with 48 and neither can it belong 0 or 16 subnet because there can only be as many as 14 ip address.
I hope You got a clue. |
