I disagree with the attacks on a DiŠkus and MCNGP.
For the rest, I must say that politics is difficult, but I will say
this: if I was American, from the land of the free (and I really mean
that), I would be angry. I don't think this period will be of the
proudest in American history, I hope things will change soon.
Of course, as a foreigner, I am not en expert on your domestic politics. |

As an American, we have to take what we can get. Being angry doesn't help
much anymore (at least not for me). I've seen so much in my 35 years that I
rarely get stunned when something new happens.
I really don't think anyone would be "proud" of any war that they have been
involved in, but I am proud to be an American.
I prefer Toby Keith's version, but couldn't find that on the interNeil so,

I sincerly mean you have a lot to be proud of, and possibilities of
improvement, just like any nation. What in my view makes U.S different
is that you have ideals of equal oportunities and all that, this made
me want to move to America.
The biggest problem with politics in my country is that the politicians
does not say what they mean, they say what they will gain the most
power from saying. I suspect this is an even bigger problem elsewhere. |

Thanks, I was able to find the lyrics, I just couldn't find a copy of the |
song online. Like WAV or MPG.

Yeah, I have had a few visitors, but not as many as I thought. Starting
a blog and writing about things that interest you is not automatically
generating a lot of visitors. I have more visitors on my personal
journal than my developer blog, don't know how many on my BI blog, but
I suspect not many.
I write mostly for my own sake and have no advertising etc. My main
motivation for measuring the number of visitors is to learn about
google analytics.
I read quite a few blogs, but I don't think many do. |

I am proud. We are a strong country with strong beliefs. And we let people |
say what they want to say. Unfortunately many of the people here don't
*properly* understand our Constitution.I'm not sure how familiar you are
with our Constitution (heck, if I wasn't American, I wouldn't know it).
We have Amendments that we (for lack of better words) live by. For instance,
the 1st Amendment - Freedom of Religion, Press, and Expression (AKA Freedom
of Speech). Most people take this for it's title, thinking "We have a full
right to Freedom of Speech". If the morons would read the actual article,
<1st Amendment>
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
</1st Amendment>
they would realize that right there in the middle are the words "peaceably"
and "petition". As I learned in the US Military, Freedom of Speech has a
high price. This one kid disagreed with what President Bush (Sr.) stood
for. So he voiced his opinion, and was dishonorably discharged from the
Military.

That is the definition of a politician. There is no way to please |
*everybody* so they say what they believe the majority of the people want to
hear. (In most cases)
