Have you ever noticed on any Windows machine that when you log on or off,
that the wallpaper changes? I've noticed that on some MS demo virtual
machines, they are using that first wallpaper to display log on information
and password, but when you log on the wallpaper changes.

I was wondering how that is done.

Anyone know?

Have a look at the Reg_Sz string;
"Wallpaper"
found at
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
Whatever you put here will be displayed when no one is logged on.
