Hello all,

I am having a problem with the Global Address Book in Outlook. I have 27
servers in 6 locations throughout California. At least one server in each
remote location is a DC and GC. Most sites are connected via Frame Relay
T-1s and a couple are secured VPNs over DSL. In my main data center, I have
two DCs and a single GC. For all this, I have a single Exchange 2003 SP2
server in my main data center. All users use this Exchange server for
internal and external communication.

My problem is that when I add a new user (from any domain controller, but
usually the closest one to the location of the user) it takes a while for
the email address to be populated in the profile. It used to be hours before
this happened until I created a RUS for each domain controller and this
process was sped up substantially. However, the new users are not added to
the Global Address Book for several hours. If the Outlook clients are in
cache mode, they only get the update once a day. That I am aware of. But
clients that are not in cache mode are not seeing the new users in the GAB
for several hours either. However, most times but not all, if I use OWA, I
can search for and find the newly added users within a few minutes.

Anyone have any insight into this or seen this before? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
