I am trying to enable shadow copy on my W2K3 DC and am getting the error as
below
"ShadowCopyVolume{996732d0-96c9-11d7-ab75-
806e6f6e6963}.job" (vssadmin.exe) 1/13/2004 12:00:00 PM **
ERROR **
The attempt to retrieve account information for
the specified task failed; therefore, the task did not
run. Either an error occurred, or no account information
existed for the task.
The specific error is:
0x8007000d: The data is invalid.
I Have attempted various fault finding steps to rectify this including
re-enabling shadow copy and restarting service etc and have followed advice
after trawling MS and other sites regarding this error, to no avail...the
task still doesn't run and can't retrieve creds to run task.
Am i to understand that the only way i can get this working is to demote
this DC, ensure the VSS is running then promote it back to DC? |

Disable VSS, demote it, promote it, enable VSS.
