Hi all,

I'm trying to install hardware management in R2, but I have problems at the
very beginning - after installing IPMI driver by "Rundll32 ipmisetp.dll,
AddTheDevice", the driver doesn't work (the device cannot start) and in
event log is this message:

"The IPMI device driver attempted to determine if the system supported an
IPMI BMC device. The driver attempted to detect the presence of the IPMI BMC
by searching the SMBIOS for a Type38 record. But either no record was found
or the record was not compatible with the version of the device driver. If a
SMBIOS Type 38 record was detected, the Dump Data field of the event
contains a binary representation of the record."

SMBIOS Type 38 was detected - so the problem is with the version, what I
don't understand - all servers are based on new Intel server boards (I tried
this on several different servers). What am I doing wrong? I was very happy
that MS finally introduced hardware management :-(

Thanks,
Robert
