I have a Windows 2003 member server which is part of an NT4 domain. I
cannot log in to the desktop. The desktop shows the wallpaper from Dell
which was installed by default, but the Windows Security logon screen
does not come up. Also, RDP access does not work even though it used
to. Otherwise, the server is working OK, users can open their shared
files.
I read Microsoft Q302346, but there was no string value found at the
location in the registry that it referred to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GinaDLL
I checked the root drive and found this version of the Graphical
Identification and Authentication file:
C$\WINDOWS\system32\msgina.dll 1,184 KB 3/24/2005 10:30 PM
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful.
