Server: W2k3 SP1
Printer: Any network printer, but an HP4100 for example (TCP/IP)
Issue: In the last few days users seem to be able to print to network
printers from Windows (Test Page) and Word without issue. However other
applications like Excel, PowerPoint etc claim they cannot find a rpinter (and
will not find any network printer). Periodically it seems the problem stops
for some users but inevitably returns. Users can print to local printers
from these apps.
Steps tried:
Reboot all clients
Reboot print server
Reinstall printer driver on server
Stop/restart spool service
Unfortunately none of these seem to resolve the issue. Has anyone seen this
before? Any suggestions/assistance are appreciated.
