|
|
Hello all,
I am having a frustrating issue. I recently upgraded one of our
servers to Windows 2003. We did not purchase a TS license server
because there is one already installed on our network that we can point
to which has Enterprise licenses.
Now that the Win2k3 upgrade is complete, I am having trouble connecting
to the specified TS license server. I tried setting the preferred
server in the registry, that did not work. I tried added the server
manually in the TS configuration and receive the following error:
"Tthe following servers specified in the License Server dialog box are
not valid Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server License Servers:
(hostname).
I checked with the group that manages the license server and they
confirmed that my server has been given access to the required TS
licensing group. I even tried changing the modes from Per Device to
Per user...just for hoots...no joy. We're scheduled to go live soon
and we don't have any TS licenses.
Any advice/suggestions/ideas? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you kindly,
