Ciscoworks Resource Manager Essentials has an apparently useful feature
in allowing a template to be defined of prohibited and required
statements, for example,

- set snmp community read-only public
+ set snmp community read-only s3creT

and it allows command lines to include parameters and to be predicated
on other lines etc. As well as checking configs it can apparently
modify any which are non-compliant. Sounds great. Trouble is the
documentation for this seems to have been cobbled together as an
afterthought.

Does anyone know of some decent documentaion for this - either
downloadable or purchasable?

Hi,

Havent yet stated to use config template baselining, but RME 4.0.4
(ServicePack 4) has recently been release.
I sugguest you install you LMS 251 with SP4 for all applications, and
consult the guides for this version.
