I am trying to translate security of migrated objects on a file server using
ADMT v. 3 Security Translation Wizard. I have covered all the security
requirements on the user ID credentials that I use to run ADMT:
- Member of the Builtin\Administrators group on the computer on which ADMT
is installed.
- Member of the Builtin\Administrators group in the source domain and target
domain.
- Member of the Administrators group in both the source domain and target
domain and a member of the Administrators group on each computer that is
being migrated.
- Member of the Administrators group in the source domain and a member of
the Domain Admins group in the target domain.
I have migrated groups, users, and computers just fine. However, when I ran
the Security Translation of migrated objects on a file server, I got an error
during the pre-check: " ERR2:7863 Could not determine whether you have
administrator privileges on the computer 'File_SERVER'. A security package
specific error occurred. (0x80070721).
Has anyone run into this issue? Any help will be very much appreciated as I
could not find anything on the net that explains this errors.
