|
|
Hi,
We have two servers, one running Win2K3 Standard SP1 and the other
running Win2K3 Enterprise SP1.
In ADUC, we created a new OU, and then using ADSIEdit, we added a
"certificationAuthority" object under that new OU (we had to add
"organizationalUnit" as "possible superiors", etc. in Schema). We did
this on both machines.
The puzzle is as follows:
When we use ADUC on the Win2K3 Standard machine, we can see the OU and
the "certificationAuthority" object, but the icon for the latter is a
folder.
When we use ADUC on the Win2K3 Standard machine, we can see the OU and
the "certificationAuthority" object, but the icon for the latter is a
folder with some kind of image in the middle of the folder.
Can anyone tell me why the icons for the "certificationAuthority"
object are different? Is it because of the Windows version?
Thanks,
Jim |

Hi,
I think that I've figured this out. Apparently, the icon mentioned
above changes when the object is populated vs. not populated.
