Basic question. If you add new Add'l DC using R2.
On the DNS setting of the candidate DCR2 shall I point DNS to itself and
then secondary DNS for other working DC in my domain??

Or otherway around.

the first one is causing me problme when I run DCpromo..it say cannot find
domain.. srv related.. Is it normal or I have problme???? in my domain..

If you are adding an additional DC to an existing domain, the new DC needs
to be pointed to an existing DNS server that can resolve the domain's SRV
records. If you haven't configured the appropriate DNS zones on the new
server, you'll need to point it to an existing DNS server in your
environment.

for w2k3 DCs you can point it to itself for preferred DNS server (if it
hosts DNS) and another DNS server as alternate
