after login, Hi,
I am trying to migrate my current Novell network to a Windows Server 2003
domain, but I want to keep the local user profiles. After I log the new
person into server, a new profile gets created. Also, the user loses some
access to their local system. The Outlook settings get hosed, and other
small stuff.
I lose access to parts of my local system, even being a member of the Admin
group...
I would like to join the systems to the domain without the side affects...
Is there something in the Group Policy that I need to change?
Thanks for everyones help

Hello,
A new user always receives a new profile. That is by default in Windows.
There are migrations tools like ADMT that are able to reassign a profile, but
ADMT does not support Novell migration.
You can use the User State Migration Tool (USMT) to move the content.
