When login in to a newly configured domain from Windows XP I get the error
message "Local Policy Does Not Permit You to Log On Interactively". I have
added a the user i'm trying to log in with and added the computer to the
domain.
It's been a while since i've dealt with AD, can anyone help me sort this
out?

The message usually comes up when you try to logon to a server not being
member of administrators. Dod you try to logon to a Windows Server?

Did you modify the local policy of the computer to disallow certain
groups from logging on locally? Are you trying to connect via Remote
Desktop using a standard user account without placing it in the Remote
Desktop Users or Administrators groups? Since you said it was a newly
configured domain, I'm assuming you didn't modify the User Right's
Assessment settings in the Default Domain Policy also

Hi

This error is related to allow logon locally policy on (Computer
configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security -> Local Policies -> User
rights)
Run RSoP.msc to check which policies are being applied.

I hop that helps
