I want to find out if I have read these posts correctly. If I want a
person, who belongs to the Domain Users group, to have the ability to
install programs to their own computer, all I need to do is add the
Domain Users group to the local computers Power Users group? I hope I
just made sense because I would like to get this taken care of. I took
a lot of time getting my server perfect and my boss keeps going over my
head and making these users Domain Admins temporarily and it is driving
me crazy. He does it and I find out about it later. Also, is there a
way to get rid of the boss????? Lol! Seriuosly, thanks for the help.

Yes, if you want to allow normal users to have the capability to install
software themselves, adding them into Power Users should do the job.

Another alternative, which is a prefer way, is to use GPO to push out the
software. This method does not require users to have Power Users privilege.

The easiest way to get rid of the bosses are - to become you own boss :)

HTH.
