Dear Freinds,
I am planning to go for MCSD C#.net certification , though i have only one
year experience of .Net development that also GUI handling and not Business
logic. But i am eager to give it.
i wish if anyone could suggest me the sequence in which i should prepare for
following exams. 70-315,316,320,300,229 |

The "recommended" one by MSFT is....
306 - windows
305 - web
310 - XML
and I believe they suggested to take 300 last (which is my opinion).
From looking over the exam objectives of 229, it doesn't look like it fits
in well anywhere in the sequence... I think you can take it at your will,
although I'd probably take it right before or right after the XML exam.
Hope this helps!

I totally agree with Joseph on his suggestion about sequence. Although
I took the XML exam before the Web Apps, I realized only later that it
was a mistake. (Because the XML exam would have been easier for me, if
I had taken Web Apps first) And the 70-300 is best left for last. |

I just want to add the following: Assuming that you would be taking 70-316
first, if you take 70-320 before 70-229, you would be earning MCAD as well
with 3 exams. With the sequence you've mentioned, you need to take 4 exams
before obtaining MCAD. But remember that you would anyway earn an MCAD if you
complete the requirements for MCSD. Good luck for your exams!

Well i will give a thought over it.. Thanks for the help.
Guys i was browsing some sites for MCSD cert and in one of the articles i
read the following:
Exam Objective Weightage of
Questions
Creating User Services 15%
Creating and Managing Components and .NET Assemblies 18%
Consuming and Manipulating Data 20%
Testing and Debugging 12%
Deploying a Windows-based Application 18%
Maintaining and Supporting a Windows-based Application 5%
Configuring and Securing a Windows-based Application 12%
Just wanted to know, how much correct it is?
Awaiting reply.
Thanks

These estimated percentages are at best approximate, and cannot be
deemed to be "correct", since exam questions and weightages vary. If
you give the same exam twice, you might find that each time you have a
different no. and set of questions. Then, the percentages given become
irrelevant. While preparing for an exam atleast, it makes no difference
if a particular topic has 12% or 15% or 18% weightage. You would still
have to read the topic thoroughly. |
