|
|
I've added many computers to our domain successfully. However, the most
recent attempt results in this error message denying the request:
"Your computer could not be joined to the domain because the following error
has occurred:
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password."
Has anyone experienced this? I can't find a workaround. I've tried every
uid in the active directory with administrative privileges.
Thanks,
Jim |

Check to see if the local firewall is on the client and see if the local
client is pointing to the AD dns server(s) only not to any isp.

That, I think, is how you'd want to proceed.

I have a windows domain with active directory installed. After I use
Ghost
to
deploy the images to the desktops, I then join these machines to the
domain.
Since I am joining them to the domain with the same computer names as
before,
is it necessary to delete the old computer accounts before joining
them to
the domain?
