SMS 2003 SP2 Deployment and Installtion

I am planning to Install SMS 2003 SP2 to my network, I have not used this
product before, i have read and done research about the product and sounds
like its a great product. I need some inforamtion on how i can implements
this product to my network ,

I have 250 users in my network i need to know if i should use per client
licensing or per server licencing on the SQL server, What type of issues i
may encounter with this product. Any useful information from you guys who
have had hands on experience with this product. I am setting up a test lab
for SMS and will try it out this weekend
