Hi All:

I just built a new rig a few weeks ago, and I am wonering
about the temp of my processor. I have an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo
and when I check te temp readings, I often see my CPU @ 50+ degrees
Cel, the mobo temp is @ 45 degrees. Are these temps normal ?

TIA
Mike

Hi Mike,

I'm not sure about an AMD processor, but I know my P4 3.2 gets as high
as 69 degrees Celcius when rendering video. The motherboard gets as
high as 50 degrees. I have been able to reduce this by turning one of
the fans to blow outwards instead of inwards. But I would say you are
at a safeand normal temperature.
As I am typing this, the CPU and motherboard are at 54 and 36
respectively.

If you are wondering about the temps for you processor, you might want
to check here:

http://www.amdcompare.com/us-en/desktop/

I have a ASUS A8N-SLI with a AMD Athlon 64 3700+. The resting temp of my
processor is typically 32C to 36C depending on the room temperature and
I've had up to 50F when I was playing Halo. My mobo tends to stay pretty
much around 25F at rest and 28F when I'm putting a load on my system. My
temps have always been pretty low due to my many fans in my box; I have
them pointing towards the back of the box with the air coming in through
the front. I also used Arctic Silver grease compound on my processor
heat sink.
