Anyone know anything about a certification called MSDS? (nothing to do
with Material Safety Data Sheets, for which MSDS is also an abbreviation).
Was interviewing for a job and they want this certification. I think it
may be an abbreviation for Microsoft Desktop {something} |

You must be talking about the MCDST cert,
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcdst/default.mspx

I'm beginning to think that also, but MSDS is what was stated, and only
1 exam was mentioned (MCDST requires 2 exams).

You may be thinking of the MCTS exam(s). But that is for working with
special technologies. These are the ONLY one-exam certifications that
Microsoft had: SQL Server 2005, BizTalk Server 2006, Microsoft Office Live
Communications Server 2005, and Windows Mobile 5.0 Applications. As you can
see, none of them have anything to do with Desktop certification.
If your interview was about "Microsoft Desktop {something}", then lowdes is
correct and your interviewers haven't got a clue as to what they were
talking about.
Follow the link that lowdes provided.
