XP install CD refuses to accept my admin passwd

i want to repair-reinstalling xp

but XP install CD refuses to accept my admin passwd even after double
check my admin passwd under user acts, when boot from XP CD it refuses
my admin passwd??

use a bootable ntfs partion like brat pe and get in though that way uses it
everytime works for me..

"This issue may occur if Windows XP was originally installed from a
Sysprep image, or if Sysprep 2.0 was run on the computer at one time.
Sysprep.exe makes changes to the way that password keys are stored in
the registry; these changes are not compatible with the Recovery
Console logon routine."
