A while back I purchased quite a bit of study materials for MSCD
certification, but never got to putting them to good use. I hate to lose my
investement, but with all the 2.0 tests out now, should I go directly to the
2.0 series? I was thinking I might go through the MSCD then do the upgrade
tests. I'm looking for opinions on whether or not that's a sound idea.

Thanks much.

It depends. If you are currently using 2.0 stuff, you're better off working
toward your MCPD but if you are not using any of the 2.0 stuff, get your
MCAD/MCSD becuase not only this certs won't go away no time soon, it would be
easier to upgrade from MCAD/MCSD to MCPD.

Honestly, .net 3.0 was just released....

Maybe you should wait, but then again who knows - maybe there will be
another one by then. Microsoft certainly has seemed to screw this up with
their greed.
