I have a 2K3 Windows Server running as my DC holding all 5 FSMO roles, this
is a GC server and has AD integrated DNS. I have another DC in the domain
running Windows Server 2000 also a GC and has AD integrated DNS. My primary
DC has gone down and after a few non-authoritative restores I’ve been unable
to bring her back up. My next step is to seize the roles using the 2000 DC.
Then on the DC that went down, do a clean install of Windows Server 2K3, run
dcpromo and then transfer the roles back.

My only fear is seizing these roles to a 2000 DC from a 2003 DC. Any advice
would be greatly appreciated.
