Hi,
I am consolidating 2 domains. One 2003 and the other 2000. The 2000 domain
has 3 servers and 7 workstations. I plan to decomission the sole DC on the
2000 domain, and add the 7 workstations to the 2003 domain. My main concern
is migrating the 2000 domain member servers to the 2003 domain. One of the
member servers is a file sersver and and the the other runs financial
information w/ SQL backend. I realize ADMT is supposed to take care of
profile changes but I have had disastrous domain to domain profile
transitions because the original profile gets overwritten and a roll back can
not be performed. Is there another way even if it is manual? Also, if ADMT
is indeed hte best way to accomplish this do I install on the old or new
domain? If old since it is 2000 it has to be ADMT 2, correct?
THanks! |

Hi
You could setup some Virtual machines and test the Profile migration and
Database migration.
