we are rebranding and I will possibly be looking at renaming our domain...
we have a w2k domain with two domain controllers; exchange 2003 sp2 servers
and over 500 users running mainly WinXp.
I had a look at similar posts for rendom in this newgroup and there was a
caution for domain renaming if exchange is installed!?
another option we were looking at was to move exchange out of our forest, so
that any future rebranding will not affext exchange and we will only have to
configure assiciate external accounts, but prefer to rename is possible.
any advise appreciated |

Hi
Domain Rename is only possible when your FFL is at Windows Server 2003.
IIRC You need Exchange 2003 SP1 installed and if you have Exchange isntalled
on DCs then the domain rename isn't possible.
Please refer to MS last documentation about domain rename at MS.
