Hi All,

I have a local area network of over 120 users with about 30% connected
via wireless (Cisco Aironet 1230s). Recently the uptake of wireless
has blown out of proportion and I'm worried users are going to start
feeling the pinch in regards to the limited bandwidth the wireless
network offers.

Rather than purchase additional APs I thought I'd look for a cheaper
option and one of those would be to implement private vlans to
minimise the "chatter" between hosts, as they're really is no business
case for host to host connectivity.

Really I just wanted to bounce the idea around and see what people
think.

My intention was to create an isolated secondary vlan for end users
and use the existing vlan our servers are in as the primary.

If anyone wants to offer up any advice, previous experience, or what
have you, I'm all ears.

Cheers
