I have just added a SBS 2003 R2 (NFSFS2) server to our domain with a Windows
2003 server (NFSFS1). All operations master roles were transferred to the
new SBS.
The Win 2003 server AD will not replicate from the new SBS server. If
replication is forced in AD Sites and Services the error is:
8452 The naming context is in the process of being removed or is not
replicated from the specified server.
The event viewer shows error NTDS Replication Error Event 1586 with the same
information, as well as NTDS KCC Event 1925:
The attempt to establish a replication link for the following writable
directory partition failed.
Directory partition:
CN=Configuration,DC=NFS,DC=LAN
Source domain controller:
CN=NTDS
Settings,CN=NFSFS2,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=NFS,DC=LAN
Source domain controller address:
fc09990c-3470-4171-96fe-26e08553496a._msdcs.NFS.LAN
Intersite transport (if any):
This domain controller will be unable to replicate with the source domain
controller until this problem is corrected.
User Action
Verify if the source domain controller is accessible or network connectivity
is available.
Additional Data
Error value:
8418 The replication operation failed because of a schema mismatch between
the servers involved.

Running dcdiag gives the error:
Starting test: RidManager
Dcdiag could not locate (null) in the dcdiag's cache of servers. Try
running this dcdiag test against this server, to avoid any problems
caused by replication latency.
......................... NFSFS1 failed test RidManager
There is no network connectivity issue, both servers can ping and browse
each other, nslookup is fine both directions.
Any help is greatly appreciated. |
