We have a single domain, which is also our forest root domain, named as
follows:
badName.domain.org.

Management has determined that we want to basically drop that the front part
of our forest root name, leaving our name to be only domain.org.

I've considered the risks of rendom.exe vs. migrating to a new forest with
ADMT but had heard that there was possibly another way to do this type of
rename without having to use rendom... is this true and if so does anybody
know anything about the process?

If I've left out any information that would be important in answering this,
please let me know. Thanks in advance.
