Sometimes when updating software or at the conclusion of Microsoft
updates, when I ask the server to "restart", it hangs prior to
beginning the reboot - apparently just before posting begins. This can also
happene when I do a remote reboot using Remote Desktop Connection.
Do you know what causes this and do you have a fix for it?

I don't know, but how old is the battery on the mainboard? ;-)
