Hi guys, like I said we are migrating from Netware 6.5 to windows server 2003
Active directory and I have a few questions.

1. When I join a computer into the domain for the first time windows creates
a new profile for the user. Is there anyway we can keep the existing profile
for that user? I read somewhere that you can copy one profile onto another
one. I tried that and didn't work that well.

2. When I log in to the domain it seems I don't have rights to anything on
the local computer. Can't change the desktop, network settings, etc. It's a
GPO thing I guess. Is there a default GPO or template that I can apply that
would give users rights to their local machines. How do you go about setting
a "usable" policy? Do I have to build one from scratch?
Thanks.
