Hi all
today I tried to connect two cat6509 with SUP720 over the uplink ports
on the SUP.
I connect it with a cat5 cabel but there are no connectivity between
the two switches..no port come up ?
The SUPs are redundant on modul 5 and 6. I try to configure gig 5/2
( active sup) as an normal switchport to connect each other....but the
link doesn't come up...
any help for me ?

Do you have crossover cable? Or configure mdix auto. Are you running IOS
or CatOS?
Send here these results, if you have IOS:
show int status module 5 and 6
show run int gi5/2

IIRC the default media type for the SUP720 second GE port is fiber
sfp.
so to use CAT 5 cable:
int gi 5/2
media-type rj45 |
