Dear group: I recently installed Windows Server 2003 - 180 day evaluation. All was fine until I had a problem with the computer and accidently reset the bios date! I didn't realize that the bios date was wrong until I rebooted the computer. Now Windows says that my evaluation has expired even though I correctly set the date.

I found this article - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/812545 - that describes my situation but offers no solution. Can anyone here suggest what I should do? I'm not concerned about retreiving data, just need to get the server running for a while longer. Thanks!

The date was set incorrectly upon initial installation of the OS?

If so, then there's not a whole lot you can do about it, you can
attempt a repair installation, but I doubt that will set the
evaluation date back to zero.

Or, as long as this server isn't being used as a domain controller,
you might be able to get away with setting the clock back to the
incorrect time.

If both of those options don't help give you that bit of extra time,
then I'm afraid you're stuck with doing a full format...or resorting
to illegal cracks.
