Hi All,

I am seeing some strange behaviour on our Windows 2003 domain and would like
to know if anyone can suggest where I should be looking for errors.

It's a Windows 2003 Server domain with Windows 2000 workstations out on the
floor.

All of our group policies are configured to use our FQDN in case one of our
DC's is offline - all group policy software installations started to fail.

On investigating, I noticed that from the Windows 2000 workstations I cannot
access the FQDN which is currently \\corporate.companyname.com

Error is "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect".

Attempting to open the same location from the console of a server is fine
though.

Any suggestions?
